Around the world in term 2

Our first stop on our trip around the world was Canada. We have been learning all about the freezing weather and interesting facts about Canada.  We all boarded the plane and when we eventually landed in freezing Canada,we had some hot chocolate and bread with yummy maple syrup before we continued to explore the country.

Fun Maths

We have been learning how to do grouping and times tables. The children had lots of fun doing this on the carpet.

Book week

For the start of book week that is coming up in 2 weeks time, we decided to decorate our classroom door with the theme, "The Cat in he Hat travelling the world". The children had so much fun maing all the different things to decorate the door.

Maths at the beach

Today was an absolutely stunning day on the beach with our grade 2s. We did some grouping and maths in preparation for multiplication next term. We also had a bit of a party as we said goodbye to Caitlin. The kids had such fun playing and splashing around in the water.
